Pig Pen was founded by four individuals who wanted to shake things up and take American comfort food to the next level. PigPen Delicacy — hence the name — specializes in creating numerous ways of consuming pork-based food along with non-pork options as well. Since opening in 2016 in Santa Ana, California, Pig Pen's dishes have mostly maintained the theme of containing pork, whether it be a pulled pork sandwich or some pork belly fries. Their signature sandwich, and the topic of conversation among foodies who have eaten at Pig Pen, is hands down the Mac Daddy Burger. As the name hints at, the burger features fried mac 'n' cheese as buns that bring the bacon, the cheese, and the 100% beef patty all together. Known for their inventive and light-hearted approach to cooking, Pig Pen also takes pride in both great service and above and beyond hospitality from their gracious and outgoing staff. Over the past year, the Southern California business has gained recognition from local, regional, and national media outlets such as: Food Beast, INSIDER, The Los Angeles Times, and OC Weekly. Fast forward to 2017, where Pig Pen Delicacy has extended its family to six partners in total with two locations in Irvine and Long Beach, California.
